Viridian Reclaims Marketplace: Privacy Notice

1. Overview
You can search the Marketplace without creating an account. We measure aggregate visits without advertising trackers. We do not sell or rent personal information.
This notice describes the information used by marketplace.viridianbuilds.com (the “Marketplace”), operated by Studio Viridian / Viridian Builds (“Viridian”). The Terms of Use are available at marketplace.viridianbuilds.com/terms.
2. Browsing and usage
Search terms are processed to find listings, including through eBay. We do not intentionally link searches to individual visitors. Hosting and security logs may temporarily contain search terms and technical identifiers.
Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate visits, referral pages, approximate country and device information without analytics cookies.
A project list used during a browsing session is held in the open page and disappears when the page closes or reloads.
3. Jobsite location
If you enter an address or place, your browser may send it to an OpenStreetMap-based geocoding service to locate it. If you choose “Locate,” your browser requests location permission. The Marketplace does not retain your jobsite location. Published store addresses may also be looked up to calculate distances. The mapping service has its own privacy practices.
4. Availability checks
When you select “Acquire,” our server checks the source listing for availability. It sends the listing address, not your identity, to the seller website.
5. Other websites and eBay
Marketplace searches may send search words to eBay without intentionally sending identifying account information. Images loaded directly from eBay or independent seller websites may expose ordinary browser technical data, including IP address, to those services.
The catalog also stores resized thumbnails of some sellers’ product photographs. This is a description of our practice, not a statement that the photographs are licensed to us. Links to seller sites, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp and other third-party services are governed by those services’ privacy practices.
6. Service providers
We use service providers to operate the Marketplace, including:

7. Seller accounts and listings
Invited sellers provide an email address and may provide a display name, listings, photographs and answers about materials, including lead paint and plumbing suitability. Viridian personnel screening listings can access this information.
Listings show a general pickup area, not a street address. Sellers should avoid including identifying details in descriptions or photographs. Photo processing attempts to remove embedded location data, but removal is not guaranteed.
A sign-in link expires after 15 minutes and is single-use. A seller sign-in cookie can remain for up to 30 days or until sign-out.

8. Earlier buyer messages, acceptance records and reports
The Marketplace no longer carries messages from buyers to sellers (since November 6, 2026). Records from earlier messages are kept as follows.
For each earlier buyer message, we retain the listing reference, Terms version, date and a one-way pseudonymous representation of the buyer email to document acceptance. The short-lived anti-abuse identifier is retained for two days. Reports of listings are kept for one year.

9. Uses we do not make
We do not sell or rent personal information, serve behavioral advertising, track visitors across other sites for advertising, or use Marketplace submissions or eBay listings to train AI models.
10. Access, correction and deletion
Contact kcash@studioviridian.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of information held about you. Sellers can edit or remove their listings. We aim to respond within 30 days, subject to applicable law. Some records may be retained for legal compliance, dispute resolution or security.
11. Children
The Marketplace is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Sellers must be at least 18.
12. Security
We use encrypted connections and restrict seller-data access to personnel who operate or screen the Marketplace. No system is completely secure. We will provide legally required notifications if a security incident affects personal information.
13. Changes
We may update this notice to reflect changes in practices. The current version date will be updated, and sellers will be notified of material changes where appropriate or legally required.
